During the summer months, the demand for blood donations remains constant, yet collections often decline due to school breaks and seasonal travel. Continued donor support is essential to ensure a stable blood supply. Schedule Now.

Can gay or bi-sexual men donate blood?

Yes. Carter BloodCare is FDA compliant and supports science-based donor eligibility screening that is safe and inclusive.
Current criteria ask all donors, regardless of sex or sexual orientation, if they’ve had a new or multiple sexual partners in the past three months. If a donor answers yes, they will be asked if they’ve had anal sex with any of these partners. If a donor answers yes, they will be required to wait three months from the date of their most recent encounter. If they answer no, and meet all other eligibility criteria, they will be able to donate.
