Cold & Flu
You are not eligible to donate if you have active diarrhea, fever, chills or a cold or flu virus.
COVID
You must wait until 10 days after your symptoms clear from your COVID-19 infection to donate.
Ebola
You are not eligible to donate if you have ever had Ebola.
Eligible to donate after 8-week deferral from the most recent date of departure/contact/exposure:
- Travel/residence in an Ebola-risk area.
- Sexual contact with a person who has had Ebola or who is under investigation to be diagnosed with Ebola
- Direct exposure to body fluids from a person who has had Ebola or who is under investigation to be diagnosed with Ebola
- Notification by public health authority that you may have been exposed to a person with Ebola disease.
