Myth: I can’t donate because phlebotomists won’t be able to find my veins.

Here’s the Truth

Our phlebotomists are trained to find your veins. Phlebotomists have a good understanding of arm structure. To help locate veins, a phlebotomist may slightly bend the elbow while palpating the antecubital area while the donor rotates their wrist. Other techniques include the application of warm cloths or packs to the arm and downward extension of the arm to improve blood flow.
