Lend an arm to get a leg, or two, thanks to Carter BloodCare and Tyler-based Greenberg Smoked Turkey.

Each volunteer donor at Tyler’s “Give a Pint, Get a Bird” blood drive Nov. 23 – 24 will receive a free Greenberg smoked turkey, while supplies last. Family-owned and operated Greenberg Smoked Turkey has been a cherished holiday tradition for more than 80 years.

Organizers have a goal of collecting 1,000 blood donations during the two-day event.

Those 1,000 units of donated blood can help 3,000 Texas patients. Blood is needed every day for people injured in car accidents, children fighting cancer, organ transplant recipients, mothers having difficult childbirths and many others.

Everyone who presents to give also receives a Carter BloodCare blanket, also while supplies last.
