One Carter BloodCare donor will win $2,500 in gas cards this month
Blood center asks Texans to Pump Up the Blood Supply during traditionally slow season; Carter BloodCare donors also get $25 gas cards Mondays and Tuesdays in June
BEDFORD, TEXAS – June 15, 2022 – Carter BloodCare is offering gas cards in June to drive blood donations and help patients in need of lifesaving transfusions.
Carter BloodCare donors who give on any day this month are entered in a “Pump Up the Blood Supply” drawing to win $2,500 in Visa gas cards. This applies to Carter BloodCare donors who give May 30 – June 30.
Plus, donors who present to give whole blood, double red cells, platelets or plasma on Mondays or Tuesdays through June 30, 2022 will each receive a $25 Visa gas card.

Blood donations typically drop in June, July and August as students go on break and families focus on vacations. High school blood drives account for up to 25% of the community blood supply. Donating blood, plasma or platelets helps those in urgent need of transfusions. This includes patients undergoing cancer treatments, children with anemia, and many other neighbors in need.
