Mostly normal business hours following one-day closure due to icy weather

Travel safety much improved for blood program’s staff and fleet

BEDFORD, Texas (Feb. 24, 2022) – Carter BloodCare is returning to mostly normal business operations following a one-day closure due to the icy wintry mix. On Friday, Feb. 25, the blood center will return to business-as-usual for the headquarters and each of the donor centers located throughout North, Central and East Texas. The Paris donor center is the only exception with a delayed opening time of 10 a.m. Most blood drives will continue as planned, but no staff is asked to report to work before 7:30 a.m. to allow for greater road visibility and safe travels.

The community blood program continues to monitor the weather conditions and will update operations as appropriate.

Carter BloodCare has created a webpage where blood donors and others can receive up-to-date information about operations’ closures or delays during the winter storm. Visit CarterBloodCare.org/weather/. Donors may continue to text 800-366-2834 for scheduling appointments when operations are closed.
