The Hank Nava End of Watch Blood Drive is named in memory of Henry “Hank” Nava Jr., who served with the Fort Worth Police Department for 14 years. His career in law enforcement spanned 18 years, having previously served with the Austin Park Police Department for three years and the Plano Police Department for one year.
Officer Nava, a 39-year-old husband and father of two, died on Dec. 1, 2005, two days after being shot in the line of duty while apprehending a parole violator.
