Dallas Cowboys host Carter BloodCare blood drive July 3

Public invited to team up with the Cowboys to help 4,500 local patients in need

ARLINGTON, TEXAS (June 25, 2025) – The Dallas Cowboys will host Carter BloodCare for a community blood drive Thursday, July 3, in Arlington.

The goal is to collect 1,500 units of donated whole blood in one day. The units will help 4,500 Texas patients in urgent need of lifesaving transfusions.

The Dallas Cowboys Blood Drive with Carter BloodCare is 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, July 3, at AT&T Stadium, located at 1 AT&T Way in Arlington.

The first 1,000 donors each receive a free ticket to the Dallas Cowboys preseason game against the Baltimore Ravens on Saturday evening, Aug. 16.*

Plus, the first 500 donors each receive a voucher for a tour of AT&T Stadium.

Photo opportunities will include Dallas Cowboys legend Drew Pearson from 9 to 11 a.m., the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Juanyeh Thomas, Dallas Cowboys safety, from 1 to 3 p.m.

On-field photo opportunities will be available as well.

Also at the event, Chris Arnold with 105.3 The Fan will broadcast live from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Attendees will park in Blue Lot 7 and enter the stadium at Entry F, on the south side facing Cowboys Way.

Blood donors must be 16 years of age or older, weigh at least 110 pounds and feel well on the day of donation. Sixteen-year-olds must have a signed parental consent form; those 17 and older may donate independently. There is no upper age limit.

Carter BloodCare reports all blood types are needed this summer, particularly type O negative. As the universal blood type, O negative can treat any patient, regardless of their individual blood type; this is vital in emergencies when the patient’s blood type may not be immediately known.

O negative also is the only blood type used to support premature and unborn babies.

The need for blood is nonstop, especially during the summer when donations seasonally drop, and a blood transfusion occurs every two seconds in the United States.

Volunteer blood donors help children who are fighting cancer, people with severe trauma and life-threatening injuries from traffic accidents, open-heart surgery patients, organ transplant recipients, mothers going through difficult childbirths, sickle cell patients, and older adults with age-related health issues, among many others.
