Need a bit of green for St. Patrick’s Day? Carter BloodCare donors are in luck.

The blood center is offering a St. Patrick’s Day-themed T-shirt to all blood, platelet and plasma donors March 9 – 22. The green tee features a four-leafed clover within the slogan “Dublin Down on Saving Lives.”

Also, because of the need for the universal blood type, each O negative blood donor will receive a $50 e-gift card to the retailer of their choice.

Every Carter BloodCare donor will receive a quilted tote bag, as well.

Residents can begin donating blood at age 16 with parental consent; those 17 and older can donate independently. Donors must weigh at least 110 pounds and feel well at donation.

Blood is in constant need to treat people injured in car wrecks, organ transplant recipients, children fighting cancer, and thousands of local patients.
