
2025 H-E-B Challenge supports Texans in need of blood June 21 – July 13
Iconic Texas grocer teams with Carter BloodCare across 20+ cities for 22nd annual blood drive
WACO, TEXAS (June 17, 2025) – The 22nd Annual H-E-B Challenge blood drive takes place June 21 through July 13. In partnership with Carter BloodCare, the multi-city event challenges H-E-B team members and the public to donate blood to help local patients.
Employees of participating H-E-B stores will compete to recruit volunteer donors, with trophies and bragging rights for employee teams with the most units of lifesaving blood collected.
This year’s blood drive will be held at 27 H-E-B locations in Belton, Burleson, Cleburne, Copperas Cove, Corsicana, Ennis, Frisco, Gatesville, Granbury, Harker Heights, Hudson Oaks, Killeen, Mansfield, Marlin, McKinney, Mexia, Plano, Stephenville, Temple, Waco and Waxahachie.
By giving blood, donors help children fighting cancer, people injured in traffic accidents, sickle cell patients, mothers going through difficult childbirths, burn patients, organ transplant recipients, older adults with age-related health issues, and many others.
