Be the Gold Standard

Platelet donors are the Gold Standard. To help meet the local demand for platelets, platelet donors will receive an e-gift card for each platelet donation in 2026 based on the number of units collected.

*E-gift cards are awarded as points to your Dedicated Donor Rewards account. Single-unit donors will receive 1,500 points, double-unit donors will receive 3,000 points and triple-unit donors will receive 4,500 points.

Points are automatically added to your account. It may take up to 3 days after a donation for points to register. A qualifying donation results in the collection of platelets; appointments for platelet donations or an attempt to donate that does not result in platelets collected will not be awarded bonus points. Deferrals do not count as a donation.

The Gold Standard Platelet promotion cannot be combined with the O Negative Effect or plasma e-gift card promotion. For example, with a combination procedure where both platelets and red cells are collected, the donor would only receive points for the Gold Standard platelet program.

An email is required for e-gift card redemption. Points can be used toward e-gift cards or any other items available in the donor store. Dedicated Donor Rewards points earned in 2026 will expire on January 31, 2027.

If your appointment is canceled due to unforeseen circumstances outside of Carter BloodCare’s control, points will not be awarded.
