Donating blood in North Fort Worth at Alliance

Throughout 2024, we’re featuring each of our donor centers and what makes them unique. In April, we’re featuring our Alliance Donor Center.

Conveniently located near Interstate 35, the Alliance Donor Center serves north Fort Worth and areas northwest of the DFW Metroplex. This donor center has been serving the Alliance area since 2016, making it a newer donor center.

Though it’s been open for just eight years, the Alliance Donor Center has been highly successful. It is the nearest donor center for those living northwest of the metroplex, and it also serves as a resource for students at Saginaw High School and V.R. Eaton High School, each located just a few miles away.

Eight years has also been enough time to establish a relationship with donors who have become regulars. Luis is a friar with the Catholic church who has donated 144 gallons at various donor centers. He’s been a regular at the Alliance Donor Center since it opened.

Ramon R. started donating with Carter BloodCare in 1998 and has donated 130 gallons so far. Like Luis, he’s been a regular at the Alliance Donor Center since it opened. Ramon sets goals for himself each year for how many gallons he wants to donate, and he usually hits those goals, according to Site Supervisor Tammie Mann.

The welcoming staff encourages those longtime donors to keep coming back. Luis and Ramon are both platelet donors, and Mann says staff members at Alliance routinely educate donors on what types of donations they can make, with some converting from whole blood donations to platelets or double red cell donations.

Join loyal donors like Luis, Ramon and many others who visit Carter BloodCare’s Alliance Donor Center each year by scheduling an appointment today.
