Join the Zombie Walk Dallas 2011 this Saturday, October 15 from noon to 8pm in downtown Dallas. And while you’re there, give blood and get a pair of tickets to see the premier of AMC’s season 2 of The Walking Dead.
And for the record (because we have been asked) a zombie is an “undead” human that’s been reanimated to a state between life and death. Yes there are tons of other zombie definitions out there, but we’ll just go with this one for the sake of the event – and the blood drive.
Zombie Walks have been happening all over the world for the past decade. They are typically linked to a cause, like this year’s Zombie Walk in Dallas. Carter BloodCare is the lucky beneficiary. We receive $5 for every $25 entry, not to mention lots of great press for the mission of giving blood, which saves lives, ironically. This year, the organizers are trying to break the world record for the largest gathering of zombies. Right now the record is a little over 4,000, held by some group in New Jersey (New Jersey!).
Come on DFW – get your zombie on. This event may be about walking dead people – but it’s also a great way to save lives.
