St. Patrick’s Day is right around the corner, and no one is luckier than we are. Lucky to have our blood donors, that is! Here are three inspiring stories from donors who help make possible, our mission to save lives.
Todd P. Emerson
How much blood have you donated?
“I’m happy to say that I’ve easily surpassed the 10-gallon mark officially, and all before I turn 50 next month! However, I have no idea how many gallons I’ve donated collectively between the three states I’ve lived in. The total is probably closer to 20!”
What makes giving meaningful for you?
“I give because I can, and it makes me feel good knowing that I’m helping someone each time.”
Why is donating important to you?
“There is a need for blood products every day, and there is never an oversupply. But, if everyone that could donate would donate, there would never be a shortage.”
“I enjoy working blood drives and talking the talk to encourage and inform almost as much as donating myself. Thank you Carter BloodCare for all that you do and for letting me share some of my story.”
Why do you give?
“I always remember my dad donating with Carter BloodCare. When I was finally old enough to donate blood, I did so because, like him, I wanted to help people”
What makes giving meaningful to you?
“I get to play a small role in helping to save someone’s life!”
As you can see, every blood donor has a story, and we’re so grateful to have each and every one of them. We hope you’ll bring good luck to someone this St. Patrick’s Day with a donation to your community through Carter BloodCare!
