This year, as we honor the victims of 9/11, we want to thank our donors for coming together to help us save lives during tragic events like these.
When disaster strikes, it’s the blood currently on the hospitals’ shelves that is used to saves lives. Donors who give blood regularly help meet our community’s ongoing need to stabilize the constant rise and fall of the blood supply. At Carter BloodCare, it’s our mission to make sure hospitals always have the amount of blood needed to save lives and support patients. In the event of a tragedy, donors who gave in the weeks prior make it possible for us to save lives.
Carter BloodCare was prepared to help protect our community after the 7/7 Dallas Shooting last year with over 400 units of blood delivered to hospitals that night. Because of donors like you, we were able to save lives and help people who needed blood during an emergency.
If you haven’t donated blood recently, visit a blood drive or donor center to #GiveForLife in honor of the fallen victims of 9/11. With consistent donations, we can create a stable blood supply that is life-saving during an emergency.
