What is Great Partners?
Carter BloodCare Great Partners is a rewards system designed to thank blood donors for helping save lives. Our donors earn points for their donations, and are able to redeem their points for a variety of rewards.
How does Great Partners work?
When you give blood at a participating Carter BloodCare location you will automatically be registered as a Great Partner. You will begin acquiring points for every donation you make. Acquired points can be redeemed for Great Rewards, which can be accessed by visiting carterbloodcare.org and logging onto My Page.
How do I earn points?
Points are earned every time you donate blood or blood products at participating Carter BloodCare locations.
Why do double red cell donors receive more points?
Double red cell donors are eligible to give every 112 days, which means they cannot give as frequently as whole blood or platelet donors. That’s why double red donors get an additional boost for their donations.
When will I begin earning points?
You will start earning points for your donations made on or after the date Great Partners begins.
Will I receive points for my past donations?
We greatly appreciate your past donations; however, points will be earned only for donations made after Great Partners begins.
Can I still track my past donations?
You can track your donation history by going to carterbloodcare.org/mypage. Log on any way you choose: with your CareCard number, your Donor ID number or a Blood Unit number. This is also a great way to track your health history, including your cholesterol.
Can I earn points if I am deferred?
Unfortunately, we will not be awarding points for deferrals at this time.
Will I earn points if my donation attempt is unsuccessful?
Yes, if a needle was inserted into your arm you will receive points for your attempted donation.
Do my points ever expire?
You will accumulate points through December 31 of each year. You will have an additional two months to redeem points, or by the end of February of the following year. If you do not redeem points within the allotted time frame, they will be donated back to our organization.
Can I donate my points back?
Yes! Donating your points back to Carter BloodCare is a great way to help with the costs of maintenance, remodeling and new equipment.
Can I transfer my points to someone else?
We offer points to thank our participating donors for their efforts. You may donate your points back to Carter BloodCare; however, you may not transfer points to another person or combine points with a spouse or family member or friend.

T-shirts will no longer be awarded at the time of donation. Instead, Great Partners will offer donors all kinds of rewards to choose from, including sized T-shirts, hats, and gift cards.
Why are T-shirts no longer given at the point of donation?
