Carter BloodCare is the primary provider of blood components and transfusion services for approximately 250 Texas healthcare facilities. These facilities include our region's children's hospitals, central trauma centers, major cancer centers and transplant centers. Last year, Carter BloodCare provided nore than 300,000 blood components for area patients. Physicians order blood for up to 400 patients each day within Carter BloodCare's service area, and most patients receive more than one transfusion.
